Who was YOUR Boogeyman?

Mr. Darnell, my seventh grade algebra teacher. He was a flamboyant queen who wore high water pants and always had his tie tucked into them.

I'll always remember him yelling,

" My Dear Aunt Sally. Multiply, Divide, Add, Subtract." while he was waving a limp wrist at us.

In my case, it was my dad. In the early days of VCRs (when they were still huge and expensive and top-loading), I took in, by the age of 9, The Excorsit, The Omen, Evil Dead, Children of the Corn, Amityville Horror, The Sound of Music--you name it. A scary movie has failed to scare me since then. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

...but seriously...I am my boogeyman. I stalked this pathetic mortal shell to its home, seized its weak body, consumed its soul and assumed its place on this plane of reality. The moral of the story? All those hideous things you puny fleshbags fear are real.

Just march right to the woods, indicate a line between them and your house and tell it "That side is yours, this side is mine, and you are not welcome here." Say it aloud if you have to. Keep saying it to yourself whenever you think of it or after these dreams. It cannot encroach upon what is yours unless you let it. You are flesh and real, your will is stronger. Trust me.

I never really made up what one looked like, but I have a closet at the end of my bed (and it's a small room) so when we just moved here when I was young, I would always think a body, or someone was in there


I was a crazy little bastard too, I made up a whole scenario how he would bust of there, try to attack me, people would chase, him, and he'd jump out the window, or somethign crazy like that
